Weekend Shoegasm: House Of Dereon "Scoth Heel"

Scoth Heel - Purple

I haven't always like the selection of heels out of House of Dereon, but they have added some new eye catching pieces to their collection like this ostentatious Scoth Heel. Worn confidently, this spicy heel from Dereon will add some class to your collection of pumps. Scott is a lavish open toe pump in leather-like material. A luxe shiny alligator-skin strap at the vamp covers the 3/4 inch platform and also lines the 5 inch thick stiletto heel. Purple pictured above is the splashiest option, but the heel is available in a subtle, Black and a tastefully done Brown options. Sizes range from 6-10 in all colors, fitting true to size. Pricing is very manageable at only $62.99 at Heels.com. So whether your a fierce vixen or looking for a splashy addition to your heel collection don't miss these cosmopolitan heels from Dereon!

House of Dereon's 2009 Fall Campaign

Beyonce/ Sasha Fierce released the House of Dereon's Fall 2009 Campaign video shoot. Interestingly enough you'll find that this collection have influences from both Beyonce and her alter ego Sasha Fierce. While Beyonce stays true to Mommy Knowles' hold on long couture dresses, Sasha Fierce rebels with an urban edge.

The Sasha Fierce line isn't impressive at all. Certainly one should expect the urban and youthful feel; however, there was nothing nouveau about it. I expected more - something different: edgy rock-inspired pieces. There are some pieces I'd wear but a few seem dated - a blast from the past 90's Hip-Hop style. Maybe Kimora Lee Simmons is at the Baby Phat Headquarters secretly thinking been there - done that!

The Fall 2009 House of Dereon's couture dresses are looking far more superior than the ones that preceded them. It seems that the couture portion of the collection was inspired by the fashion and styles of the roaring 20s. The dresses are extremely feminine - flattering a woman's every curve, vivid, chic and elegant. They also have a Parisan flare to them. Doesn't Beyonce look great graceful in the green satin dress?
