Night at The Makeup Show

New York, NY (May 2009)

Mehron's makeup artist Mario.Inc brought art to life

The Powder Group and Metropolitan Pavilion gave beauty insiders a slice of Makeup Heaven with the 4th Annual The Makeup Show NYC. This 2-day beauty filled soiree offered product previews, seminars, and forums from 68 exhibitors. Over 4,000 people were in attendance including celebrity makeup artists, beauty bloggers, and Youtube gurus. Seats quickly filled for the complimentary hands-on workshops offered by the likes of M.A.C.'s V.P. of Artistry, Gordon Espinet and beauty sovereignty Davis Factor of Smashbox Cosmetics and Smashbox Photo Studio. Not to mention, MAKE UP FOR EVER artist and founder Dany Sanz , who made her first New York appearance at the Annual Makeup Show.

Mary O-rouke & Nikki Delventhal modeled Mehron's Special Effects Makeup

The atmosphere was vibrant and animated as semi-nude models wearing only adhesives, panties, and high definition body paint proceeded nonchalantly as they greeted the show-goers throughout the day. Industry insiders networked over lattes while shopping for cosmetic goodies. "I’ve completely sold out and now taking pre-orders” Roberta Weltmann founder of Myrabelle Mascara Shield joyfully announced. Her Mascara Shield, which makes both mascara and eye liner application easy on the eyes, was one of the crowd’s favorite. If beauty is to die for then, The Makeup Show must be heaven on earth.

Additional pictures from the show will be featured on this week's Street Walking Edition.
