Vanessa and Angela Simmons Hearts Monarchy

Draped in black, lace, pearls, suede and red lips are definitely in this fall as pictured on sisters Vanessa and Angela Simmons. The two sat front row at the Monarchy Collection Spring 2010 Fashion Show yesterday.

Although I absolutely love these two; I'm not too fond of Angela's makeup: she looks much older in an unflattering way (the cat eyes aren't working in her favor). I also feel that she could've done something different with her hair as well. On the flip side, I absolutely adore Vanessa's look - from hair to nails to pumps, Vanessa worked it! Take a lesson from Vanessa on this one: simply chic = tres magnific!

High Moments: Jojo Simmons

Caught Run-ning from the Law

Rev. Run's eldest son Joseph "Jojo" Simmons Jr. was arrested last night for possession of marijuana. He allegedly bought weed and was seen rolling the illegal substance in Manhattan's Upper East Side.

And this is why you shouldn't do drugs:

NYPD sources stated that the Run's House star was inside his car when the police apprehended him.... he tried to escape by reversing and almost struck a police vehicle. As a result, Jojo was charged with resisting arrest, attempted reckless endangerment, and criminal use of drug paraphenalia. This was a dumb move on Jojo's part.

On the MTV hit series Run's House, Rev. Run prides himself on his musical accomplishments and his children being seen as role models. I'm not sure if this is one of those RM (role model) moments. Neither Jojo or the Simmons family has issued a statement.

Pastry Kicks Off Mall Tour

Aventura Miami

Oh April 8, 2009, Vanessa and Angela Simmons stopped at my favorite shop stop in Miami; the Aventura Mall for their Rock The Mall Tour. It’s their nationwide mall tour showing off their new clothing and shoe designs. In tow were Keri Hilson, Tiffany Evans, and Trina. A lot of people were in attendance and the Keri Hilson performance was great. I was digging the fact that they picked girls out of the audience to model their latest Pastry wear and keep it afterwards.

Side Note: Why didn’t they get their friend on their show Daddy’s Girls to perform? Isn’t she an aspiring singer? Oh well.

Although I’m not into Pastry Kicks – I am a fan of the Simmons’ sisters. This was a definitely a creative marketing endeavor and good look for the girls!
