Hair Solutions: Fierce Bedroom Hair

One of the most popular hair styles is that straight out of bed look, with out much hassle this style can become a routine of your own. The main idea is to crate loose, easy waves that work with your hairs own body and texture. Do not blow dry the hair perfectly straight first. Just follow these three simple steps:

Step 1 - Wash with a volumizing shampoo for fine hair or moisturizing formula for medium to thick hair. Follow with a lightweight conditioner. After rinsing and towel drying, spray on a light setting spray until hair is completely saturated. Distribute evenly with a wide tooth comb. Make a center part and scrunch the ends while hair air dries or blow dry with a diffuser.

Step 2 - When hair is completely dry, divide hair into 8 to 10 sections. Hold a large barrel curling iron vertically and beginning at the back of the head, wrap one section around the barrel from ear level to the ends. Hold for 5 to 10 seconds, then release. Before hair cools, gently tug on the curl to loosen it.

Step 3 - Run you fingers in a zigzag motion from the scalp to the ends to give waves a sexy, tousled look. Rub a dime size amount off styling cream to reduce frizz or split ends. For medium to thick hair, use can use a shine serum instead. Finish with a light mist of flexible hold hair spray.

To achieve this look, we recommend using these products:

How To Choose the Best Hairstyles For a Heart-Shaped Face

Bring out the beauty of your heart-shaped face with a flattering hairstyle.

Step 1: Determine that your face is heart shaped
Pull your hair away from your face and examine its shape in the mirror. A heart-shaped face is wider at the temples and hairline with a narrower chin.

Step 2: Decide how short you want your hair to be
Decide how short you want your hair to be. Super-short cuts don’t work well with a heart-shaped face. Chin length or longer is usually best. Avoid a blunt bob cut that hits right at the nape of your neck.

Step 3: Think about getting bangs and long layers
Think about getting side-swept bangs and long layers. These styles will frame your face.

Step 4: Part your hair in the middle
Style your hair so that it is parted in the middle. This will create the illusion of vertical length. Add extra volume to the top of your style to elongate a heart-shaped face.

Step 5: Work with your hairstylist
Work with your hairstylist to figure out the kind of look you want. Then, watch the transformation into a new you!

Did You Know:

On average, an adult loses about 100 strands of hair from their scalp every day.

Hair Solutions: How To Clean Hairbrushes

You remember to wash your hair but usually forget about the hairbrush. Now it’s time to learn how the pros do it.

You Will Need:
A comb
Your hairbrush
A toothbrush
A bowl of warm, soapy water
A bowl of cool, clean water
A hand towel

Step 1
Use a comb to remove loose hair from the hairbrush by running the teeth of the comb outward from the pad of the brush, lifting the hair upward.

Step 2
Dip the toothbrush in warm, soapy water; then use it to gently scrub the bristles and hairbrush pad. If you have a plastic brush, soak it in a mixture of warm water and 2 tablespoons of baking soda for one hour.

Step 3
Rinse the hairbrush in the bowl of clean water to wash away any soapy residue.

Step 4
Shake the excess water from the hairbrush.

Step 5
Place your clean hairbrush on a hand towel to dry.

Beauty Solutions: How to Buy a Hair Dryer

Ion Anti-Frizz Tourmaline Ionic Hair Dryer

Transforming soaking wet hair into a swingy, sexy style takes more than an arsenal of good hair products: You need a super speedy hair dryer that can absorb the water lickety-split. Thankfully, the latest technology in hair dryers has made damaging dryers a relic of the past. Now, you can go from wet to dry in warp speed and in the process, get healthy, silky smooth locks. Read on to see what's the best buy for getting dry:

Wattage: The measurement of the blow dryer speed. Most dryers have wattages between 600 to 2000 watts. Thinner hair requires a lower wattage than thicker, more textured strands.

Weight: The weight of hair dryers can vary; some weigh in at only half a pound, others go up to three. If you've got long locks, you'll probably want a hair dryer that's on the lighter side, to keep you arm from getting tired.

Settings: Dryers have at least two speeds: low and high. Hi-tech dryers have even more speed/heat settings, a cool button to "cool off" and set a finished style, and a turbo feature that increases heat and airflow instantly.

Technology: Ionic, tourmaline and ceramic are the latest technologies being touted; most cut drying time in half, and keep hair healthy.

Attachment: A part that fits onto a nozzle of a hair dryer; different attachments yield different results, i.e. a smooth style or a curly one.
