How To Dance Like Beyonce

If you want to shake your booty like Beyonce, you'll have to work on your flexibility – and a style of dance called J-Setting.

You Will Need:
Online videos
Practice
High heels (optional)

Step 1: Research J-Setting
Research the dance style called J-Setting. Beyonce incorporates a lot of its dance-team style moves in her routines.

Step 2: Practice your high kicks
Practice high kicks until you can do them smoothly – and in stiletto heels.

Step 3: Swing your hips
Shake your hips fast and furiously, as if you’re trying to shove someone aside with your hip bone; put your whole leg into the motion. Alternate between having your hands on your hips and stretched in the air as you gyrate. Slap your thighs or bottom occasionally as you’re moving your hips.

Step 4: Do pelvic thrusts
Work in some pelvic thrusts. Do them back and forth and in a circular motion, feet spread wide. Practice until you can do them keeping your back straight as you lower your body to the floor. Bonus points if you can end the thrusts with your body lowered all the way to the ground and one leg extended straight out to the side – without falling down!

Step 5: Walk the walk
Walk the walk: Skip and tap dance around in a circle as you move your arms to the beat – punch them out in front of you, wave them back and forth above your head, shake your finger at your imaginary audience.

Step 6: Shake your head
Incorporate some head and shoulder moves: Alternate raising your shoulders as you move your head and neck side to side, keeping your face looking forward.

Step 7: Make it your own
Now put it all together, adding your own special moves.

Solange Knowles Joins the Big Chop Club

Yes ladies - Solange Knowles has shaved it all off and gone natural!

The 23-year-old younger sibling of R'n'B superstar Beyonce is going on 2 weeks with this natural do. The paps photographed her edgy look while she was on her way to take son Juelz, 4, to school.

Solange twitted that she was going through a 'I wanna cut all my Hair off & have a fade (cropped haircut) phase'.She has in the past typically worn hair extensions or the lace-front wigs - where the wig is glued on - also worn by her sister.

In the past she has joked that the constant comparisons to Beyonce might tip her over the edge and send her into a Britney-style meltdown. Regardless of her reasoning she chopped it all off.

I love that Solange isn't afraid to rebel. My only concern is that she should have gotten a shape up. Doesn't she look cute in this pic?

Beyoncé and Tina Knowles are looking to capitalize more on Sasha Fierce. Utilizing the name of the singer’s alter ego and third solo album, “I Am…Sasha Fierce,” the mother and daughter design team plans to launch a new junior apparel label, Sasha Fierce for Deréon, for back-to-school selling.

The collection is inspired by Beyoncé’s stage presence and includes a full range of sportswear, outerwear, handbags, footwear, eyewear, lingerie and jewelry. Positioned alongside the company’s Deréon junior label, which is similarly priced, "Sasha Fierce" has so far been picked up by department stores including Macy’s and Dillard’s and specialty stores: Jimmy Jazz and Against All Odds. The collection, Tina said, it's “edgier and trendier and reflects Sasha Fierce’s daring and outgoing attitude.”

The jewelry, shoes and eyewear, she added, “are really over the top” with large chains made in mixed metals such as silver with gold, heavily studded shoes and oversize sunglasses like the ones Beyoncé wears on tour. The clothes are a little more subdued to make the accessories stand out — a one-shoulder dress, black bodysuit, fake leather jacket with oversize collar, leggings and destructed jeans with mesh and lace details lining the ripped material.

“When the tour started, we noticed the definite style of it,” Tina explained. “Thierry Muglerdesigned the clothes for the tour, but we really wanted to celebrate the style and interpret that into a collection.”

Beyoncé, who said in a statement “the line really exudes a different side of my personality, which I am grateful that I can express,” had a lot of say in the creation of the collection, Tina said.

“She definitely tells me what she likes and what she doesn’t. It was her suggestion to line the rips of the jeans with the mesh and lace,” she said. “It makes the jeans look really different from what’s out there.”

Tina said while they launched the Sasha Fierce for Deréon collection to pay homage to the tour, she said they would happily keep it going if customers respond to it at retail.

“We have had tremendous success with our graphic T-shirt business based on the lyrics from Beyoncé’s new CD,” said Philip Davis, president of Deréon’s parent company, Beyond Productions LLC. “We believe the Sasha Fierce collection will enjoy the same success at retail and coincide with the success of Beyoncé’s world tour.”

The collection wholesales from $25 to $75. Davis declined to give first-year sales expectations for the label.

Today Beyonce was out and about in London - stopping at Harvey Nichols as the modern day Raggedy Ann. Mrs. Carter decided to dress herself up in the dark figuring that she'll save both energy and money. Her hair was a disaster - frizzy, messy, and in desperate need of a relaxer. She needs to upgrade her shoe size as well - her toes look like packed hot dogs in those pumps. Also, check out her mouth piece: looks like glitter got caught in Beyonce's gums. What was Beyonce thinking when she walked out of her hotel!

Ladies, take note: this is a perfect example of why you shouldn't have yes men or women in your camp. Is it me or did she wear this same top just a few weeks back? I'm not sure if Beyonce recently fired her stylist but she's been looking fashionably awful lately. Beyonce made a tour stop in Vienna, Austria yesterday. Wearing sheer tank, J Brand jeans and silver Yves Saint Laurent boots, Sasha Fierce looked like Sasha Mess! This getup wasn't made for her and her stylist should have known better. Doesn't Beyonce look like a high-end clown (and I'm being nice when I say this)? This is a definately a fashion faux pas for B. There's no fooling me; I don't care how much this look cost her -- it's a no-no! Is this another case of "It looks better on her than me" for Beyonce because Rihanna pulled it off just a few weeks ago and did a fabulous job.
