Groomed Guy Alert: Brad Pitt

Women everywhere have offered thanks now that Brad Pitt has at long last shaved his notorious beard. However going from grizzly to groomed requires special care. Master Barber for King of Shaves, Diane Wood, shares how to show some skin without shedding some blood! Here are a few tips for guys looking to banish their beards:

· The easiest way to remove longer facial hair is to use a beard trimmer or hair clipper. Use the trimmer to remove as much hair as possible. (If this step is skipped, razors will become clogged and the chance of nicks significant increases!)

· After removing the longer whiskers, the skin underneath will be extremely dry and sensitive. Splash face with warm water to open pores.

· Once skin is prepped, apply a thin layer of shaving oil, such as King of Shaves AlphaOil Cooling, and follow with a low foam shaving gel, such as King of Shaves AlphaGel Shaving Gel Natural. The combination of oil and gel will provide the smoothest wet shave possible.

· Push the nose upwards with one finger, shaving sideways across the top lip.

· Be sure to shave with the grain, never against the grain! For an even smoother shave, shave across the grain!

· After shaving, rinse the face with cool water and apply an alcohol-free facial moisturizer to close the pores and lock in moisture.

  1. Brad is so sexxy - it doesn't matter if he's shaven or unshaven, groomed or ungroomed, clothed or nekkid ;)

  2. I remember having a crush on Brad Pitt when I was in the 4th grade. It amazes me how it is now more than 10 years later Brad still looks hot by all standards!

  3. Shaving using the straight razors or double edge razors means giving myself the closest shave possible. Plus, it is also giving myself time to unwind. I could say that most of the time, I get my wonderful ideas while shaving. Thanks for sharing!
