Micky's Picks: Handbags

This Prezzo Cut-Out Metal Handle Clutch is what inspired me to do this shopping guide. I love wearing clutches during the day, but I still have to carry my makeup, big sunglasses, money and etc. with me. A big, sexy clutch for $35 solves it all for me. Enter 6.25" high, 13.5" wide, 2.5" deep is a really good size for a day clutch and plus, it comes with a detachable shoulder strap that can really come in handy. If red is not your colour, it also comes in gold.

“Oh no Micky! Cheetah print AGAIN?” Well… yes. Bold, fun and sassy, including one of my favorite color combinations and cheetah print, the Rampage Leopard Haircalf Framed Clutch is the way to go. This clutch is my newly found online love. The Peacock blue satin lining gives it a touch of luxury whereas the golden shoulder strap that can be put inside of the actual clutch gives comfort if you need to free your hands. This clutch, as with many other handbags, has a magnetic closure, so be sure not to leave your credit cards unprotected inside of the bag as it can demagnetise them, making them impossible to be used on ATMs and stores.

Sometimes, we need something roomier. This Susan Nichole Sculpted Western Style #94 Briefcase is office appropriate at any office. Because it’s not all black, it will make a statement and because of the wonderful delicate embossed pattern, it will show everyone you are feminine yet professional and that you always play close attention to the little details. It also has a shoulder strap, should it become too heavy to carry on your hand. This briefcase also comes in an earthy Sandy and Brown combo that is perfect for summer and spring and that, paired with the write outfit, can even be worn during fall.

If you’re on the market for something a little more Day-To-Day, maybe this BIG BUDDHA Denise Satchel in cream is exactly what you need. Tons of storage to keep everything a girl needs, neutral colour and style and a handy magnetic closure make this bag a great choice for everyday, especially on those pick up and go days we all have. To me, it looks much more expensive than it really is.

My mom always told me not to judge a book by its cover, but you can learn a lot about a person by their shoes and their wallet. No matter how awesome and expensive looking your purse is, if your wallet is old and ugly, you’re loosing your charm right there. You don’t have to match your wallet to your handbag nor your outfit. You should however choose between clean lines and monochromatic colors or super fun and funky. My pick is a happy medium between the two. This is the Latico Medium Eel Skin Wallet. The outside features vibrant colors (which are great so you never loose your wallet in your big purse), and it has the all important clean lines. The interior features this amazing parsley print. This wallet also features plenty of storage – it can fit credit cards, picture ID, cash, receipts from your most recent purchases, you name it. Plus, there are four fun colors to choose from and a super convinient key ring so you never loose your keys again.

To finish my shopping guide, I thought I’d bring you this Jessica Simpson Aer Shrunken Hobo which is a cute bag. It’s navy blue (but it comes in red, also) and has polka dots. It will go well with jeans and lots of other casual outfits. An awesome pick for everyday if you go to school or the perfect handbag for a weekend. It has three compartments, so you can keep everything you need in hand. I’d just not suggest the fabric version on rainy days.
