  1. I don't believe skinny jeans are torture...Like they've discussed in the video, I think it's just about finding the balance and not overdoing it...Constantly wearing them may not be a good idea depending on how much you're willing to tolerate if they affect you, however there's plenty of worse things out there that we subject ourselves to that cause us even worse pain...ex:waxing..Like some of us ladies do say..beauty is pain :)

  2. No way!!! I don't know how far peps go for fashion. Why not just wear skinnies with flat boots. Maybe both shouldn't be worn togeather.

  3. skinny jeans and high heals are trend. Now true enough if you wear high heels everyday allday, then yes they can cause some damage to feet over a certain period of time, but no one does that. I wear them alot, but I also have my days were i want to wear cute flats, or sandals. I don't see any health risk in skinny jeans!

  4. Skinny jeans and high heels are definitely a trend. I agree that high heels can certainly damage your feet if worn for extended periods of time. I don't think skinny jeans pose any threats for women, but these men who are now wearing them that's another story lol.

  5. I'll have to admit they both look good together. I have two pairs of skinny jeans made out of spandex which is good because I can adjust them. I don't think skinny jeans are torture but can be a health problem if worn too tight to the point of getting tingling sensations in the legs a sign of poor circulation. As far as wearing high heels, I'm not a fan. I can't hang with the styletto wearers. Too hard on the knee joints lol. Risking your health to look good is not the way but people go to the extreme every day.

  6. I believe it could be both honestly, depending on the situation. For example skinny jeans are not meant to be worn loosely around the hips or abodmen area, its meant to be worn fitting but there are those who wear skinny jeans that are not form fitting, which leaves them with tight skinny jeans, digging into their abdomen, which is not good. You know how it is,we've all done it once or twice, or all the time, wearing jeans ,skinny jeans, or whatever it may be so tight around our stomach area, heck we even had the button stamp that you see when you take off your jeans. So yes skinny jeans can be a torture especially for those whose figures is not really meant for it....I myself cant wear skinny jeans because everything will be popping out from the back, the sides, a real hot mess, and i have worn them but they be so tihgt my stomach ends up hurting and its a releif when their off! lol. So with that said I'll go onto the high heels, and yes high heels are a torture , i never wear them lol

  7. I think skinny jeans and high heels are totally a trend. It is so sexy and bold. If a person can't walk in high heels they should leave this trend to the pros (like I do LOL)

  8. I personally love how skinny jeans and high heels looks together so I would say trend but at the same time I am a new mom with a different lifestyle and different set of ankles after having a baby so I can also say torture. I've had a major problem wearing heels recently so I am sooo glad there are sexy flats out there. I'm also with Doc concerning the leggings that look like denim. They are just too cute and when you pair them with some funky rocker or even equestrian boots you can still have the look of skinny jeans along with the comfort of spandex!

  9. I think skinny jeans with high heels is a trend not torture. I love wearing high heels with my skinny jeans I feel like the skinny jeans help showcase my heels the best since they don't cover up my heels like bootcut or a flare leg would. It's definitely a great look for when your going out on a date or to the club with a cute top.

  10. Skinny jeans and high heels are definitely a trend AND torture. I believe skinny jeans are a trend that have recently made their way back into fashion and they could probably cause temporary circulation problems. Heels will always be a trend as they are almost a necessity for women. But I'm sure heels can't be good for our feet and bodies as they alter our natural body position when we wear them. My grandmother tells me all the time that I'll feel the consequences of wearing high heels when I'm older. But until then....pass me my pumps ;-)

  11. Well, even though I think skinny jeans and heels are a true and HOT fashion trend, in a way they can be torture to us if used in the wrong manner. By saying that I mean, come on now, skinny jeans should not be soooo tight to the point where everyone can see each and every skin impression on your body. I think that heels should be worn in moderation as well. Even though they are ultra cute for a night out on the town or haute and sexy for a steamy date with your lover, at the end of the day, those heels can cause a lot of problems. Now don't get me wrong, I own one of each and yes I do wear them from time to time. But ya girl likes to stay comfy. So ladies think about your body and comfort when shopping for or wearing skinny jeans and heels. Keep it sexy and comfy all at once... it's do-able!! lol

  12. I think skinny jeans are a trend but high heels are torture. If you wear skinny jeans that actually fit, are true to your size, and overall are comfortable then there is no problem with wearing skinny jeans. heels on the other hand have been proven medically to be harmful to you in the long run. occassionally, I wear heels for special events but once the event is over my feet and I are dying to take them off!! Every blue moon I'll come across a pair of heels that may be comfortable for at most 15 minutes.

  13. Im going to go with skinny jeans and high heels being a trend. While anything worn too tight can become a risk/torture, I think the person wearing the clothing needs to exercise good judgement based on their comfort level (the same goes for heels).

  14. I think skinny jeans and high heels are SO trendy, but so, painful. I would not wear the combo, only because i am only 5'3. I am soo grateful for the chic flats that are out there. They still look fab with my skinny jeans.

  15. Before I watched this video, I would have said TREND!! I love high heels, I've worn them since high school and havent had any problems. Now.. the skinny jeans," not so much". So, I have to say that as long as you don't make skinny jeans and high heels your staple, then you're ok. Everything in moderation! : )

  16. i read somewhere on the net that high heels can affect ur ovaries since then i have alwaz been wary of prolong periods of time in them.though i agree they r a trend each individual should heed te warnings of the doctor n take precautions to ensure that in time to come when the trend has faded u arent left with any damage.being fashionable also means being sensible.

  17. Skinny jeans with high heels is a trend. A trend I don't follow only because it is not my style but being a nursing student i can see why it is torture. Along with the nerve condition the doctor mention, skinny jeans for long periods of time can also increase the risk for recurring yeast infections (men = fertility problems). high heels can help tones the legs and lift the booty in appearance. it can also cause pain in the area behind your ankle for women (men) who where high heels everyday, all day. and if you do not know how to walk in them you can possibly sprain your ankle, fall and cause other problems and embarrassment. high heels should be worn for events and short periods of time. so to my fashion women (men) like they say too much of anything is bad for you. for the most part. lol. kisses!

  18. Are skinny jeans and high heels trend or torture?, Well i think it's a bit of both because with anything in life if you over do it it's not good for you, for example if you eat 10 cheese burgers everyday you are going to end up obese and with health issues but if you eat a cheese burger once in a while it's ok, well i think the same goes for wearing skinny jeans and high heels if you wear them everyday you may look trendy but at the same time you are torturing yourself, but if you wear them once or twice a week you're still "in the trend" without torturing yourself and causing yourself weeks or even months of pain or cramps.

  19. Skinny jeans and high heels are one of the most simplest cute outfits. Maybe it isnt a everyday outfit especially the heels. Cause we all know heels do damage our feet. But as long as the outfit is comfortable and your not squeezing in it then its a TREND not TORTURE!

    ReplyDelete
  20. I do not believe skinny jeans and high heels are torture. And I also believe that whomever feels that way should not wear them. I believe skinny jeans and high heels are a trend. They look very cute together and are in style right now. Any type of high heel may be torture, but women know there is a price to pay for being cute...lol. So no I do not think it is torture....I believe it is a trend, and a very cute trend!!!

  22. I am thicker in the thigh but narrow through the hips, not curvy. So, I have been a little hesitant to try them, but with the boot craze this year, they're essential, and I'd like to have some.

  23. I think skinny jeans and high heels are a trend. It is the same look they had back in the 80's. After watching the video...I don't think you risk your health for fashion, but many women do it. If your circulation is being cut off and you have numbness it is just not worth it. As for the high heels, me being a woman of a certain age and having many friends who "USED TO" wear high heels they do cause problems in the long run. Check out the key words: USED TO! I don't believe beauty should be painful. Smooches

  24. I would say that the skinny jean fad is torture. I am a plus sized woman and I do rock the look. I love all the bold colors and the way that fashion has reverted back to the 80's. I am definately a diva and love my color. I love to stand out in a crowd so if I have to go through the "torture" then so be it. I have more heels in my closet than flats or sneakers. I wouldnt have it any other way. I would say that as far as a health risk, heels are dangerous. I think that each woman should make sure to take care of her own health. And always buy well-fitted heels. Dont just buy a heel because you like it. Make sure that they wont damage your feet. And also get that regular pedicure. The technician will massage and pamper your feet. GO FOR THE FASHION DEAL WITH THE TORTURE!!!

  25. I personally do not wear tight jeans or extremely high heels. I like to keep my wardrobe simple and comfortable. Though there are some that seem a bit uncomfortable when walking in too high heels and or too tight jeans. I guess it’s more of a trend on personal torment.

  26. I dont think that skinny jeans and heels are a torture. I am really loving this new trend and love rocking this style. I love anything that is stylist and divalike

  27. I think with all things their is a point where people go to far. You can wear anything to tight and if you love having a camel's hump and cramped toes, get them small as for me, I love them lose.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I love skinny jeans and high heels so I think that they are a trend not torture. Skinny jeans are great for most figures and can be worn with something over it to camouflage imperfections. Most can come in a stretchy material so that they aren't as tight as they look. Heels may take practice to walk in but are cute when you have the feel for it.

  29. I think that they are a trend. However to much of anything can lead to toturing yourself. It should not be a everyday look but when the occasion is right be a trendsetter

    ReplyDelete
  30. I think they are both trends. But I think women should be careful in how tight they get their jeans or how uncomfortable the heels are they choose to wear.Fashion is great but u need to be comfortable and not cause torture to your body. "Beauty is pain" sometimes but it doesnt always have to be.To each its own.

  31. I think both are trends. I love skinny jeans because they are so versitile..you can wear they with boots, flats, and my favorite platform heels. Heels can have a little or alot of discomfort..but this is a sacrifice that WE BEAUTIFUL WOMEN take to give us that PUMP..lol...platform heels are the most comfortable to me.....GOTTA LUV BOTH!!!!

  32. Living in Ny I see this alot. I think ultimately, it's a little bit of both. Besides causing ankle sprains, extremely high hills can cause serious falls, especilly the way people in NY rush around. But I guess it's like they say, no pain, no gain!

    ReplyDelete
  33. I believe it is a trend that has a little torture thrown in. Skinny jeans look great with all kinds of footwear. I like to feel confident no matter the shoe, but, in how I carry myself.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I agree with the physician in the video. Even though I love the look, women have always done things to themselves to look beautiful regardless of the consequences. Boy am I a hypocrite because I'll wear my skinnys and hills in a heart beat. Oh well, what we do for beauty.

  35. I LOVE skinny jeans >_< !

To me they are not turture at all, but very versatile. Especially for the winter time, skinny jeans can be worn with any kind of boots you have, whether with ankle boot, calf boots, knee high boots or higher, they can always look great. they also look great at any time of the year with anything that you pair with them. Skinny jeans are like me year round go-to pants!

  36. I love skinny jeans you can do alot with them and also You can't so Im stuck in the middle..I really am .. I hate bell bottoms or jeans that have to much flare at the bottom I dont think its vey attractive and my legs get cold at winter but skinny jeans you can wear slouch boots or uggs and it will look pretty you just have to get a bigger size then you are cause they dont look pretty with your belly hanging out..

  37. Honestly, I have always heard that wearing high heels could do damage to your body but I still wear them because they are trendy. However, I limit wearing them to only weekends that require me to look cute. With skinny jeans they can be trendy when worn correctly or torturous if worn incorrectly. I think that with everything an aspect of moderation is needed but I would definately go with them being trendy WHEN worn correctly.

  38. I think the combination of skinny jeans and high heels are a fashion trend not meant for everyone to wear. Not for society's sake but for the sake of health. On the skinny jeans: You'd have to first make sure that they are stretchy enough to slip on without having to hop around the bedroom like a jack rabbit. Also, the jeans have to be comfortable around the crotch and waist areas also. I see too many women who think that the jeans are supposed to be super-cutting-off-your-circulation tight just to look good. A great and comfortable fit is what matters.

On the high heels: It's good to wear them (as heels have been a staple of womanhood for ages)..but it's also great not to wear them all of the time. When paired with the skinny jean, it could look HOT but it's not so hot when your feet feel cramped up all day long. In my opinion, pairing the jean up with a nice flat, or gorgeous low-cut boot is a good idea for comfort's sake.

My findings? Well, it's like this. Skinny jeans and heels are torture for those who feel the need to wear them all of the time. But sometimes simplicity is just as hot as the hottest trend.

    Peace

  39. I'd Say Trend. I love a pair of Skinny Jeans. Heels are super sexy when done right. But I don't think you should injur yourself for fashion. Love who you are and what you have

  41. Skinny jeans and heels are trends I thing will never fade personally I would not stop wearing them ...okay there are risks involved poor circulation, yeast infections yadayadayada....but there are risks in everything we do day to day but you know your body and limitations better than anyone else

  42. I love skinny jeans especially with heels. Definately a fashion trend.

  43. I believe skinny jeans area a trend. I also believe you rock them as you please. Use common sense with everything. Yeast infections..poor circulations someone didn't read the invisible caution label.

  44. I DON'T THINK ITS TROTURE BUT IF IT HURTS YOUR FEET WITHIN 20 MINUTES OF HAVING THEM ON THEN HEELS ARE NOT FOR YOU. WEAR CUTE FLATS. PLUS EVERYBODY DON'T WEAR SKINNY JEANS. PLUS SIZE WOMEN SAY THEY DON'T FEEL RIGHT SOMETIMES. FASHION IS ALWAYS ABOUT WHATS NEW AND IN THE NOW SO IF THEY COUTINE SO WILL EVERY WOMEN.

  45. I only think it torture if you go 3 sizes to small. Overall I like skinny jeans they are really cute and stylish. They can be dressed up or down!

    ReplyDelete
  46. I definitely think that skinny jeans and high heels are a TREND!! As long as the jeans are YOUR SIZE and the HEELS are you SIZE! You are good to go!

  47. I love skinny jeans but you have to buy the right pair. They have to fit comfortably, as if nothings there. Whats the point of trying to squeeze into something? The ending result will be a horrible mess!

  49. They are torture for me because of my size! I've got a whole lot of crunches to do before I even attempt to find some skinny jeans!

  50. I think that skinny jeans and high heels can be both trend and torture, if not worn properly. After viewing this video I've learned that by not wearing the proper size jeans, will not only be uncomfortable but can be dangerous as well. My advice, when it comes to skinny jeans, is to find an alternative "look-a-like" denim legging, like the doctor mentioned. If not I'd opt for a stretchy jean that will not only give you the form fitting look, but will be comfy as well. When it comes to heels I always am ok spending the money to gain comfort. In an uncomfortable shoe I get heel cushion support for what ever area is bothering me. Like they say...pain is beauty right?! Lol

  51. I don't think Skinny Jeans or High Heels are torture. As with any fashion trend if worn properly you should have good results and receive plenty of compliments :)
