Fashion With Fifi Explores Trends for the Home

NYC’s Tribeca neighborhood just got a dose of decorative real estate with the opening of Oly Studio’s flagship store, Oly Atelier, on the corner of Hubert and Greenwich streets. The two-story location is an enticing shopping outlet for those of us who love a little retail therapy for our homes.

Oly Studio is an innovative interior design company that is known for its affordable and elegant furniture and home accessories. Founded in Berkeley, California by designers Kate McIntyre and Brad Huntzinger in 1999, the Oly line is now featured in retail stores and showrooms across the country.

ELLE DECOR Magazine’s editor-in-chief, Margaret Russell, hosted a party last Wednesday evening in honor of the store’s new, contemporary location. Guests were invited to preview some of the signature pieces that this design company is known for.

Fashion With Fifi was also there to take notes on some of the hottest trends in home décor! (Above, I'm pictured with Alyssa Wolfe, Editorial Assistant at ELLE DECOR, and Kenny Gee, creator of DoseOfDesign.blogspot.com)

Oly’s line consists of beautifully constructed dining and occasional chairs and tables, beds, mirrors, sconces, chandeliers and more. The collection brings together an elegant mix of traditional and contemporary designs for a result that is sophisticated and unique.

Each room of the new store was artfully arranged to showcase the company’s unique aesthetic. Murals with primeval landscapes and larger-than-life animals lined the walls and complimented the animal motif that can be seen in many of the company’s pieces.

Here, a polar bear pictured in a frozen landscape is the perfect contrast to the cozy armchair and warm lighting in this setting.

Guests also received festive adornment upon arrival, donning an array of antlers, fur stoles, and feathered cuffs a they perused Oly’s collection. Check out http://www.olystudio.com/ to see the complete line of furniture and accessories and to find a retail outlet near you!
