Look Book: T by Alexander Wang

If you read my post everyday you already know that I've been preaching fall weather preparedness with the fervor of a nervous parent. I've been blogging about the importance of Cardigans and scarfs and you're read my railings about not getting caught looking blah, on that first really cold day of Autumn. Just in case you haven't gotten the message yet, I present to you T By Alexander Wang. In the spirit of full disclosure I must confess that we both have Parsons New School roots, but that has nothing to do with why I fell in love with Alexander Wang. Wang launched his first full collection of women's wear in 2007, and since then the edgy, somewhat masculine womenswear designs, have consistently brought the house down at every major fall fashion show. His Fall 2009 collection has been met with wide acclaim and my favorite is T. Wang reverts back to his signature dark fabric look and delivers a high end fashion that is so effortless, you'll almost look like you're not trying.

With a fresh, sexy look and longer length this waffle weave long sleeve Alexander Wang Athletic Thermal shirt is a great addition to your basics wardrobe and is the starting point for this look. If you're really observant you'll see that this grey top is actually the one pictured in white above. Being that "Fashion Is Foremost Inspiration" figure you can make subtle changes that match your own personal style. This version features the Long button placket and mock pocket with back seam yoke and longer sleeves.

No one does distressed Denim like Alexander Wang, and these Ava Skinny Jeans in Worn Free are quintessential T. With super-slim fitting and distressing throughout, these skinnies have a mid-rise that creates a leg-lengthening look. Clean back pockets with signature "H" stitching and tonal cross stitching at the coin pocket. A great way to show off toned legs. These fit very small and snug, so you'll want to size up a size. Tobi.com has the most range in sizes; they offer these jeans in sizes 24-29. To give you some idea of how they fit, look to the right. Jessica is wearing a size 26. She's 5'9 and her measurements are 24" waist, and 36" hips.

Scotland's Hunter Original Tall Boots delivers classic fit and great comfort in its original wellington style. They do come in chocolate which is the color pictured at the very top. Match these boots up with cream Fleece Welly Socks for the exact look. These ultra-soft fleece boot liners will keep your feet cozy and warm. There are a few other colors so you can wear these boots in dark blue with and Cream Wellies.

The sweatshirt feel of this rounded-hem Mike & Chris Rufus Trench Coat yields a breathable and comfortable layer that still looks sharp. Two button closure with angled welt pockets and a tie at the waist work to polish the design. The picture to the right features the lovely Ana wearing a size Small. To give you some perspective; she's tall at 5'10 and her measurements are: 25" Waist, 34 Bust and 36" Hips. Tobi.com only has one color and that's Black Confetti. That's a perfect color for everyday fall use.

This is a really fun and casual fall look so crown it with this Sheepman Beenie from Grace Hats. It's 100% wool so you can expect warmth and comfort. Tobi.com has it in three colors. Black featured to the left, Brown and Grey. They're all one size fits all.
