Fragrance Of The Week - Very Valentino by Valentino

By now you probably figured out that the kind of perfumes I like the most are florals (preferably rose and/or jasmine) with musk and, sometimes, some noble woods thrown into the mixture. This week it’s back to basics for me, as I present: Very Valentino Perfume by Valentino for Women 3.3 oz Eau De Parfum Spray.

This is an undoubtedly oriental fragrance that has citrus and floral as top and middle notes as well as sandalwood, vanilla, amber and musk for the bottom notes. Just in case you’re wondering, the floral notes are Lily of the Valley, Black Currant, Magnolia, Jasmine and Rose.

Do you know those people who are always making others laugh and teasing their friends but say everything with a double meaning and that double meaning always has something to do with sex? This perfume has that same kind of “personality”. In my opinion, due to the citrus smell of the Bergamot and Mandarin also present on the perfume and all the flower concoction, this perfume appears bubbly and playful at first but if you pay close attention, the message it conveys is definitely sexier.

It’s not a heavy perfume but I wouldn’t say it’s light either. If you love soft, light perfumes, then this is a great night time perfume for you; if you like stronger, heavier fragrances, this could be a good daytime fragrance if you’re looking for a not-too-drastic change. Personally, I’d wear it day and night, just taking care not to apply too much during the daytime and going heavier at night.
