Celebrities came red-carpet-ready for the 2009 Cannes Film Festival
Eva Longoria-Parker made her first red carpet appearance at the 2009 festival a memorable one, donning a silk organza embroidered ball gown by Versace. I just love this dress: there's something about it that screams Fabulous. By the look on Eva's face it seems as though she loves it too. Ladies, this dress is pure art, pure fashion, pure elegance! Eva could've have chosen a better dress to wear.
Bollywood superstar Aishwarya Rai looked magnificent when she gracefully navigated the red carpet in a white tiered strapless gown from the Cavalli Couture Collection. I loved the upper portion of the dress but not so much the bottom tiers. Her neck looks so bare -- a V-cut diamond necklace would have done the job and maybe a dust of gold shimmer here or there. Regardless of what I thought about the dress, there was no denying that Aishwarya was oh so chic.
Mimi showed up with sexy rocker Lenny Kravitz, wearing a black Dolce & Gabanna dress. This dress is muy caliente on Mariah; it hugs her curves and bust just right. And Lenny isn't so bad himself. He's smoking hot - I wouldn't mind him holding my umbrella.
Side Note: Don't they make a cute pair?!?
Phoebe Price looked like a disco ball in mourning as she blew a kiss to the camera.
Abbie Cornish played it safe with this lavender Toni Maticevski grown. The 26-year-old actress paired it with Jimmy Choo “Dane” satin sandals. All I can say is that she looks cute. This gown would be perfect for prom - not for the red. This dress screams immaturity. I'll give her a pass for now, but next year Abbie needs to bring on the heat because this dress just won't due.
