Whatever Happened to Them Wednesdays: Customer Appreciation

Whatever happened to getting something for nothing.... remember the good ol' days when cosmetic companies actually cared about what you thought and gave great customer service? Nowadays, whenever you walk into a cosmetic/ beauty store, the first thing they'll ask is if you've signed up for their store credit card and rewards program (which rewards you a very low fraction on the dollar) - no "Hello"," how was your day", "how can I help you"...... zilch!

But wait, it gets better; when you ask for free samples the sales rep will look that at you as though you've just insulted her mother. Did they forget that we're still in this recession?!?! Why would I purchase a $50 foundation without sampling it out first. Whatever happened to beauty and cosmetic coupons that were worth more than free shipping? There's a lack of customer appreciation in the beauty retail world that's extremely ugly.
