Beauty & Fashion Q & A: Rihanna
Q: Lipstick or lipgloss?
A: Lipstick. It lasts longer, and when I'm performing, my hair doesn't stick to my lips like with gloss.
Q: Shower or baths?
A: Always showers. Bath take too much time
Q: Massage or facials?
A: I don't ever get facials. I do get massages sometimes. I have so much tension in my shoulders from sleeping in different beds and on planes.
Q: Professional manicures or DIY?
A: I am not good at doing my nails myself. Plus, I recently got into designs. I had Obama's face on my pinkie for a while; before that I had a snowman on one nail, and on another finger I had a Santa hat.
Q: Coffee or tea?
A: I hate coffee, and I hate tea. I do drink tea before I go on stage, but I hate it.
Q: Salad or fries?
A: French fries - I eat a lot of them. I don't really like salads, but they are definitely the way to go.
Q: Heels or flats?
A: High heels are sexier, but I love being comfortable; too. Also, I'm so tall. I hate being the only one towering.
Q: Sweet or salty?
A: Salty. I have a bad salt habit. I put it on everything without tasting it first. I even put it on fruit.
Q: Denim or diamonds?
A: You can never have too much denim - you can have too many diamonds. I'm more of a gold girl anyway.

MUA for Hire: Kim Kardashian
Kim Kardashian was on South Beach for the Memorial Day Weekend and ran into a random woman who I'm assuming is an ass-piring makeup artist. The woman, pictured above, approached the reality star with the most ridiculous request:
"I was driving around Miami Beach and wanted to give u guys a sneak peak of what Miami Beach looks like on Memorial Day weekend! This woman stopped us and asked if she could do my make up! I took a pic of her to see if Mario can learn any tips! LOL " (from Kim's Blog)
I could understand asking for an autograph or photo together, but doing Kim's makeup... has this woman lost her mind - the nerve of some people! She probably had one too many Martini which would explain the Tucan Sam expired eyes.

Whatever Happened to Them Wednesdays: Classic Sitcoms
Whatever happened to children growing up on classic TV shows? Well, I should be grateful of certain networks airing their reruns. Thank goodness I have the DVR feature through my Direct TV - I would be lost without it (because I'm still stuck in the past). Why can't there be more sitcoms like these on TV? I miss the 90s! I enjoy watching these shows - 10 years later and they still seem to crack me up!

When Bad Fashion Happens to Good People: Beyonce
Today Beyonce was out and about in London - stopping at Harvey Nichols as the modern day Raggedy Ann. Mrs. Carter decided to dress herself up in the dark figuring that she'll save both energy and money. Her hair was a disaster - frizzy, messy, and in desperate need of a relaxer. She needs to upgrade her shoe size as well - her toes look like packed hot dogs in those pumps. Also, check out her mouth piece: looks like glitter got caught in Beyonce's gums. What was Beyonce thinking when she walked out of her hotel!

Fabulous Fashion Finds: Memorial Day Sale
I hope your Memorial Day Weekend was as fun and safe for you as it was for me. I did get a chance to snack down on succulent baby back ribs, world famous Nathan's Hot Dogs at Cooney Island, and take advantage of the holiday sales.
I made my first stop at Express where they were having a 40% off selected merchandise sale (which seemed more like 40% off everything, except for the newest items). The store was cluttered with shoppers wanting to take advantage of the holiday discount as well, but I was able to find great items in my size.
For partying purposes or to wear at a special event, I purchased this Satin Racerback Top at $15.99. in Pink Albert, this smooth satin and bugle-bead embellishments put a sexy spin on a classically casual top. It's front features a scoop, raunched neckline - the back highlights your shoulders with a chic racerback. The bottom portion of the top gets wider at the end for a looser fit.

I'm very excited about the purchase of my first pair of leggings -- denim at that. I know you're probably thinking "where have you been". Well, I can explain it all: I was never the type to wear leggings or tights because I'm self conscious about my butt. That all changed when I tried on this beautiful pair of leggings at Express. They hugged but butt just right and complimented my curvatures - no spillage or dints not to mention that they scrunched up at the bottom. I felt so sexy at $14.70 and couldn't wait to wear them.
And here's what I picked up at Forever21
This retro black and yellow tunic top is the first item I laid my eyes on when I entered the store. I wasn't so sure of how it would look (on me) so I decided to try it on. On my way to the fitting room, I received endless compliments on it which helped shape my decision to get it at $14.80. Although it's designed as a knit top, it runs long which means that you can wear it as a both a casual tunic or party dress incase you're unsure of what to wear it with. And to top it off, the back features a stylish racerback that's great to maneuver in for the summer.
Pink and white cotton racerback top for $11.80

Sold at $10.50

And finally, a little something to feed my shoe fetish; I bought 2 pairs of chic thong sandals at $7.50 each. Designed with adjustable straps - they're great to wear this summer if you want easy on and off access and were priced under $10. Need I say more?
(Gold)
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take advantage of Old Navy's $1 flip flops but I did partake in others from places like Express, Forever21, and Victoria's Secret. Everything came up to $148.19 for 11 items (including 2 sandals) which rounded each piece to about $13.47. Was that a bargain or what?!

Guide to Beautiful Hair
With summer around the corner, you can’t afford having a bad hair day. Frizzy and damaged hair is so last year. However, for those who have a serious frizz problem and can’t seem to solve it – I’ve found the perfect hair solution for you. Miracle 7 Leave-in Conditioner is the ultimate summer hair treatment that defines, strengthens and conditions your hair. Unlike many overly price hair care products; Miracle 7 doesn’t just talk the talk – it walks the walk as well. Aren’t we all tired of spending hundreds of dollars on hair products and getting back little to no results - At $12.99, it’s worth every penny you spend on this product!
With Miracle 7 Leave-in Conditioner, you will feel a difference in your hair the very first time you use it. This stuff works wonders for dyed, dry, fizzy hair. It detangles the hair without weighting it down; leaving it very soft, silky and shiny. Did I mention that it’ll actually get the frizz out? What more could a girl ask for?
Miracle 7 Leave-in Conditioner requires little maintenance and direction: Simply shampoo and condition hair, towel dry, spray product all over hair and comb through. Blow dry or style as desired.
If it’s good enough for salon professionals – it’s certainly good enough for you. Stop spending money on useless junk and make sense of both your hair and money this summer. You can find this at Sally Beauty Supply and get $5 off orders of $25 or more at SallyBeauty.com. Use code 555202 (expires 5/31/09)

Rihanna Makes a Fashion Pit Stop
It's always a good idea to have friends you can depend on (when making a fashion pit stop). On Friday, Rihanna was seen arriving at Kanye West's NYC apartment to make a fashion pit stop. She changed from a (backless) long striped sweater, short denims and knee high boots to a sexy pink and black chiffon pencil dress before hitting up the city's club scene to start off her Memorial Day's Weekend. Rihanna's beauty is undeniably beautiful and candidly chic -- even at night. Both her before and after pictures are shamelessly fierce!
When it comes to changing styles in a New York Minute, Rihanna is the ultimate pro.
